We’re looking for an Events Administration Assistant to join The Star Brisbane, a world-class hospitality destination in the heart of the city.
Responsibilities
- As the Events Administration Assistant, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, customer service–oriented administrative assistance, working closely with key stakeholders across food & beverage.
- Manage high-level administrative tasks such as profit and loss reports, processing purchase orders, and other ad-hoc administrative duties.
- Support seamless event operations by coordinating administrative activities for the events team.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant experience in providing high level administrative support.
- A high standard of personal and professional presentation.
- Proven skills in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, spreadsheets and presentation software).
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and present information in a meaningful manner.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
- Experience in Hospitality, Food and Beverage is highly desirable.
A few of your responsibilities
- Provide administrative support including handling of incoming and outgoing mail, internal paperwork to support the Events Director.
- Coordinating and supporting the events team with account management within the events centre.
- Prepare confidential documents for company presentations and discussions, collect data, and compile ad-hoc and monthly reports for key stakeholders.
- Document accurate minutes at meetings and distribute minutes of the meeting in a timely manner to all relevant parties.
- Responsible for the coordinated bookings for events The Star Brisbane organises, including ticket sales, floor plans, guest liaison and organising any special requirements.
