Principal Project Lead Transport Planning

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Principal Project Lead Transport Planning, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of transport planning projects including the council’s Accessible School Program (ASP) to drive integrated and sustainable outcomes.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally to influence outcomes, negotiate and reach mutually beneficial solutions.
- Provide expert transport planning and road safety advice to key stakeholders, including the region’s schools, to support Council’s strategic outcomes of reducing reliance on the private car and encouraging modal change.
- Prepare and present complex technical reports to schools and other key stakeholders on behavioural change initiatives and re‑configuration options to improve safety and efficiency.
- Guide, coach and mentor others and lead a small project team.
- Identify State and Federal grant funding opportunities and facilitate applications for funding for priority projects.
Qualifications
- Hold a degree in civil engineering, transportation planning, urban planning or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in transport planning and design, modal change, travel behaviour change and accessibility projects.
- Knowledge of travel demand management principles, behaviour change programmes and techniques.
- Experience working with councils, schools and community consultation highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information to non‑technical audiences.
