How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:

- Conduct and support systems modelling in all phases of our products life cycle and participate in Systems Engineering reviews.

- Conduct high and low‑fidelity aerodynamic analyses and advise on aerodynamic design.

- Determine aerothermal heating flight loads for launch vehicles.

- Perform system‑level thermal modelling to define boundary conditions for subsystem thermal models.

- Execute high‑level propulsion system modelling to inform propulsion architecture and derive system‑level performance parameters.

- Manage propellant loading and consumable masses to establish their component of the vehicle and satellite gravimetrics.

- Model propellant slosh frequencies, damping, and resulting forces within tanks.

- Apply data analysis techniques to validate models from raw test data.

- Work alongside the Systems Engineers providing analysis and recommendations that assist with requirements definition, verification of system level requirements, trade studies, and engineering change requests.

- Review and audit work conducted by the engineering departments.

- Operate as part of a multidisciplinary team - routinely step beyond core duties to tackle cross‑domain tasks and coordinate with other engineering departments

- Other duties as requested by Management.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mechanical or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or a relevant qualification.

- Experience with analytical modelling of fluid systems.

- Experience with thermal modelling.

- Experience with programming in Python, MATLAB, or other high‑level languages.

- Ability to operate in dynamic, fast paced environments where roles / responsibilities change rapidly.

- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment with a desire and willingness to assist other team members.

- Ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance.

- Experience with CFD and its application to a range of problems, including high‑speed flows.

- 5+ years experience in engineering analysis and modelling.

- Maintains or is eligible for CPENG and RPEQ.

- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.

- Exceptional time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with git workflows.

- Experience with software verification and validation, as well as CI/CD pipelines.

- Basic understanding of systems engineering fundamentals.
