We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Engineer – Stormwater & Waterways to help deliver innovative and effective solutions across drainage, stormwater quality, flood mitigation, and shoreline management.

What You Will Do:

As an Engineer – Stormwater & Waterways, you will provide expert engineering and technical advice on a wide range of stormwater and waterway management issues. You will work alongside a dedicated team to develop forward-thinking strategies and help deliver high-quality infrastructure that supports our growing region and protects our natural assets.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Engineer – Stormwater & Waterways, your role will involve both planning and implementation, ranging from policy development and infrastructure modelling to the design and delivery of nature-based and traditional water management solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), Associate Degree of Engineering (Civil), or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in a similar engineering or technical role within a similar organisation or industry relevant to the Australian context.
  • Sound analytical skills in the field of hydrology and hydraulics and other technical areas relevant to the role.
  • Sound knowledge of stormwater and flood model interpretation.
  • General knowledge of Federal, State and Local Government legislation, regulations, standards, policies procedures and guidelines relevant to drainage infrastructure planning and development and coastal engineering.
  • General project management skills and experience.
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
