The ROLE

As our People Experience (PX) Partner, you’ll be at the heart of shaping how our people work, grow and thrive. You’ll bring our strategic and cultural aspirations to life — creating experiences that drive high performance, inclusion, and connection across David Jones.

Working in close partnership with the People team and the broader business, you’ll design and deliver fit-for-purpose initiatives that elevate engagement, capability, and the overall team member experience, all aligned to our People & Culture strategy and business priorities.

You’ll play a key role in building awareness and capability across our organisation and championing our People Experience priorities, from continuous listening and engagement, to Diversity & Inclusion, and initiatives that enrich every stage of the employee lifecycle.

What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging

- Design and execute the enterprise-wide Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DI&B) strategy for team members, customers, and community.
- Act as the conduit and primary contact for all DI&B partnerships supporting team members, customers, and community.
- Deliver and embed DI&B initiatives in alignment with strategy, partnering with the People Team and Business Units to foster an inclusive and thriving culture.
- Track and report on key metrics, assess initiative effectiveness, conduct post-implementation reviews, and fulfill WEGA reporting requirements.
- Lead national team member resource groups to shape DI&B initiatives and drive activity at the store and enterprise level.

People Experience / Organisational Development

- Design, lead, and embed People Experience and OD projects aligned to the P&C strategy and key moments that matter (e.g., EVP, onboarding, recognition, career pathways).
- Review, refine, and embed initiatives through enterprise-wide collaboration, influence and change management to ensure sustained success.
- Partner with GM of People Experience to design and embed cyclical processes (ie. Performance; Talent Management) and execute strategic initiatives (ie. high performance cultural strategy)
- Design, lead and implement initiatives that enhance team member engagement, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the broader People Experience strategy.
- Collaborate with business leaders, People teams, and key stakeholders to ensure people programs are aligned with business needs and strategic priorities.
- Partner with the GM of People Experience to translate insights into action and align listening outcomes with PX priorities and business goals.
- Leverage data insights and team member feedback to shape interventions that drive engagement, retention, and cultural impact.

What YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE

- Degree qualified in HR, Psychology or a business-related discipline
- Strong experience in HR Business Partnering, Learning or OD environment
- Experience in design and delivery of capability build programs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to remain focused and operates effectively under pressure
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to ensure time is used effectively and deadlines are met
- Ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity
- A track record of successful project management and delivery
