Orora is expanding the capacity of its cans business, investing millions to increase capacity at our Queensland site through introducing a new manufacturing line. This is where you come in. Reporting into the shift supervisor and working a 12hr rotating shift (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am), 24/7 days, the key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
- Operating high speed machinery
- Attending to mechanical breakdowns on shift
- Reading & following SOPs
- Contributing to our approach of continuous improvement and helping to achieve world class operational performance
- When required: provide high level troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance tasks
- Assist in necessary modifications
- Technical assistance to reduce production equipment downtime and spoilage
- Assist in machinery changeovers
- Monitoring machinery and resolving issues

About You

- Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing
- Availability to work across 24hr rotating shift patterns
