About The Role

The HR Operations Lead will be pivotal in overseeing the entire HR lifecycle within the organisation. This role involves managing the organisational structure, ensuring accurate onboarding and offboarding of employees, and maintaining compliance with the Council’s Core Enterprise Agreement, Determination, and Guidelines. The HR Operations Lead will work closely with the Payroll team to ensure timely processing of pay and other employee‑related changes.

This position will also facilitate the drafting and implementation of HR business processes, focusing on identifying process gaps and leveraging automation where feasible. Collaboration with HR Business Partners and other teams will be essential to support key HR programs and initiatives.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess experience in HR operations and team leadership, with a strong focus on compliance and process improvement.

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (desirable).
- Significant experience in HR lifecycle processes within a complex industrial environment.
- Proven track record in a generalist HR role, such as Business Partner or Advisor.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive team performance and accountability.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyse data and produce insightful reports.
