NMHS is recruiting for an Allied Health Assistant to join the Community Adult Mental Health’s Occupational Therapy team at the Mirrabooka clinic. This appointment may be offered as Permanent Full Time/Part Time/Job Share or Fixed Term Full Time/Part Time/Job Share with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Responsibilities

What is our Allied Health Assistant role?

This position, under the direction of the Supervising Therapist, organises and provides therapeutic interventions and programmes in a group and on an individual basis, targeted at maximising client wellbeing.

The role of the Allied Health Assistant is to support the delivery of therapy services to the clients of the Community Adult Mental Health Service.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for permanent positions in the public sector. For fixed term appointments, documentary evidence of entitlement to live and work in Australia for the contract period is required.

WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. A working with children check may be required for the role, and a pre-employment health assessment may be requested. Adverse information will be considered as part of the appointment process.
