About the role
Our Financial Services team in Adelaide is seeking a Lawyer to join the team. Working closely with our team of financial services Directors and Lawyers, this role will see you support the delivery of complex and innovative regulatory, corporate and transactional advice to a wide range of clients in the financial services sector, across areas such as:
Corporations Act obligations
AML/CTF compliance
Data security and emerging regulatory issues
Financial services licensing, fundraising and digital asset matters
This role will give you exposure to regulatory frameworks, the chance to interact with regulators (including ASIC and AUSTRAC), exposure to corporate law and leading edge financial services and products such as investment platforms, investment funds, digital assets and fintech and an opportunity to contribute to our forward-thinking approach to service delivery—using technology to deliver efficient, tailored legal solutions.
This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in financial services regulation while developing a strong commercial grounding. You'll also have the opportunity for client contact and to be involved in broader corporate and commercial work and to be mentored by financial services specialists who are leaders in their field.
About you
We're open to lawyers who are newly admitted or have up to 2 years of post-admission experience. Experience in financial services is not essential, but an interest in regulatory and compliance work is key.
To succeed in this role, you will be:
Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia
Genuinely interested in financial services regulation and innovation in legal service delivery
Comfortable working across corporate and commercial matters
Keen to develop expertise in licensing, fundraising, digital assets, funds management and compliance
Collaborative, curious, and commercially minded
Willing to learn and contribute to a close-knit, high-performing team
