Located on the picturesque banks of the Karuah River, our client, the Karuah & District RSL Club, is a community-focused venue known for its welcoming atmosphere and local spirit. Supporting local sporting teams and charities, the Club plays a central role in the community while offering members and guests a friendly, family-oriented environment.

Established in 1946, the Club continues to grow and evolve, embarking on an exciting phase of improvement and innovation. The team is now seeking a dynamic and motivated Finance and Administration Manager to strengthen its administrative foundations and introduce systems and technologies that better support its people and operations into the future.

About the role

This newly created Finance and Administration Manager position has been developed to enhance efficiency, improve systems and lead the Club through a digital transformation.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee a small administrative team and play a key role in streamlining payroll, finance, membership, and compliance processes. This is a full-time, on-site position, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive, community-driven organisation.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all administration and finance functions of the Club, including payroll, rostering, IT systems, and compliance.

- Ensure weekly payroll is completed accurately and is complaint in alignment with relevant awards.

- Lead financial tasks for the Club including price reviews, till balancing, and stocktakes.

- Improve efficiency by transitioning from manual to digital systems and implementing new technology across payroll and admin functions.

- Work closely with the CEO on operational planning, financial oversight, and strategic projects.

- Provide leadership and mentoring to admin staff, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Review and refine policies, procedures, and documentation to align with best practice and legislative requirements.

- Support broader Club operations, including HR, marketing, and community initiatives as required.

About you

You’re an experienced administration professional with strong financial acumen and a passion for systems improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where your ideas and expertise will directly shape the future of Karuah RSL Club’s operations.

- Proven experience in administration and financial, experience within clubs, hospitality, or community-based environment will be ideal.

- Strong experience using and understanding payroll systems and compliance. With knowledge of MYOB, or Tanda being advantageous.

- Strong IT and systems mindset, with the ability to introduce and implement new technology and streamline manual processes.

- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

- A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to work closely with all levels of the business.

- A genuine interest in contributing to a community-focused organisation and supporting its ongoing growth and improvement.
