Day to day, you’ll help older people live with dignity, whether that’s helping them get around, go to the bathroom, take a shower, or enjoy a meal with a friendly face in line with their personalised care plan. You will help them celebrate life with community based fun and social activities and bring them a sense of belonging in so doing. With our high standards in clinical and compassionate care, you will have the space to innovate and excel, doing work you are proud of.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include providing personal care in line with individual care plans, supporting residents with mobility and daily activities, assisting with meals, and participating in community-based activities to promote belonging and wellbeing. Maintain high standards of clinical and compassionate care and contribute to a positive, supportive team environment.

The requirements

What it takes to do this work

- A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care/Individual Support - Ageing/Health Service Assistant

- An empathy for older people and commitment to meeting their needs

- Experience delivering exceptional customer service within the aged care or health industry

- Reasonable flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster

The locations

Warrigal is proud to deliver exceptional, person-centred care across seven residential aged care homes throughout the Illawarra region. We are currently recruiting at the following locations, each offering a supportive environment and a strong sense of community.

- Warrigal Mt Terry in the foothills of Albion Park surrounded by schools and sports grounds

- Warrigal Shell Cove an innovative coastal village, close to beaches, cafes and marina

- Warrigal Multicultural Village provides care and support for older people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
