Overview

We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officer’s for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Willetton Senior High School (SHS) is one of the largest schools in Western Australia, with a student population in excess of 2700, approximately 230 teaching staff and 145 support staff on campus. Our school emphasises safe and inspiring environments for learners and educators, nurtures self-worth and community contribution, and values care, respect and excellence as part of the Willo Way. We offer selective programs including Basketball and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), and provide opportunities designed to enrich students’ academic experience. Our curriculum encourages social responsibility and practical skills essential for life beyond school.

There is a strong focus on pastoral care, and staff are expected to contribute to engaging and purposeful learning environments while pursuing personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

The role supports the administration team, staff and school community. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Reception and front office duties
- Processing student enrolments and managing attendance records
- Supporting financial operations and relief staff management
- Assisting with student engagement programs
- Knowledge of Facilities and Vocational, Education and Training (VET) is advantageous
- Using databases such as Compass, Schools Information Systems (SIS), HRMIS, and RM Billing and RM Finance is highly regarded

Qualifications and Experience

Suitable applicants will ideally:

- Be adaptable, professional, reliable, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Have strong organisational skills and a customer service focus with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Be able to work independently and in a team, and take initiative
- Have relevant experience delivering high quality administrative services
- Demonstrate ability to deliver a diverse range of administrative tasks and support student engagement
- Experience with the mentioned databases and financial processes is advantageous

Eligibility

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start
