About the role

Preparation and Cooking: Prepare ingredients and dishes Japanese dishes with guidance from the Head Chef, including sushi, sashimi, ramen, and other Japanese specialties, ensuring timely and precise presentation.

Kitchen Leadership: Consulting with senior subordinate staff, maintain production schedules, and ensure dishes meet our standards of quality and consistency.

Hygiene and Safety: Maintain safe working conditions and ensure the high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and all food preparation areas and all food storage areas.

Quality Control: Monitor ingredient quality, portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.

Inventory and Stock Management: Manage kitchen supplies, oversee stock levels, and reduce waste through portion control and efficient use of ingredients.

Company Policy compliance: Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products and equipment

Skills/Qualifications required

Qualifications:

Certificate or Diploma in culinary



Experience:

At least 2 years work experience in a similar position.



Skills:

Demonstrated strong communication and constructive thinking skills

Strong English-speaking ability and extensive knowledge of both European and Asian (particularly Japanese) cuisine

Food safety, food presentation and menu development skills

Cost and inventory control skills

Time management skills to ensure efficiency in meal preparation and service
