Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Propulsion Systems Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing onsite services and troubleshooting for various propulsion systems, including controllable pitch propellers, thrusters, and OD Box, gear box. This role involves customer support, diagnostics, inspections, technical reporting, and collaboration with our global propulsion team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite services and troubleshooting of propulsion systems (e.g., controllable pitch propellers, thrusters, OD Box, gear box etc.)
- Provide customer support, including diagnostics, inspections, and technical reporting.
- Support retrofits, upgrades, and modernization projects.
- Collaborate with the global propulsion team and align with Wärtsilä's lifecycle solutions strategy.
- Offer sales support for propulsion-related service opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in propulsion systems and marine engineering.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
- Willingness to travel for onsite services and support.
