Overview
This full-time hybrid position offers you the chance to work with cutting-edge technology while supporting customers across Australia and New Zealand, primarily in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
What you'll do
- Provide exceptional service support to existing customers throughout Australia and New Zealand by conducting scheduled site visits and generating detailed service reports after each visit.
- Utilise specialised equipment to take precise measurements of products and machinery, analyse performance data, and deliver comprehensive feedback to customers aimed at optimising machine efficiency.
- Build strong working relationships with clients by establishing rapport and maintaining open lines of communication across diverse cultures, experience levels, and backgrounds.
- Produce thorough mill visit reports, update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database accurately, and submit product samples for further analysis as required.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure mutual understanding of technical issues and solutions.
- Maintain all service equipment in excellent condition by performing regular checks and ensuring tools are ready for use at all times.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to accommodate customer requirements while adhering to a standard 38-hour week.
- Travel domestically approximately 30 nights per year using your own vehicle (with car allowance provided), ensuring all fuel used for work travel is reimbursed.
- Participate in ongoing training initiatives including an overseas induction trip within 6-9 months of starting and attending international sales conferences every 2-3 years.
What you bring

- An undergraduate degree in engineering or science—or alternatively a trade qualification—provides you with the foundational knowledge required for success.
- Previous exposure to the pulp or paper industry is highly regarded but not essential; transferable skills from related sectors are welcomed.
- Well-developed computer literacy ensures you can efficiently manage reporting tasks and utilise CRM systems effectively.
- Excellent presentation skills enable you to communicate complex information clearly both verbally and in writing.
- A valid driver’s licence is essential due to the travel requirements associated with this role; possession of a valid passport is also necessary for international training opportunities.
- Physical fitness is important as the position involves carrying heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and moving within restricted spaces safely.
- The right to work in Australia is mandatory for employment eligibility.
