About the role
Based in Clayton, VIC, this fulltime, Monday to Friday apprenticeship will see the successful applicant studying a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering while working for an industry leader in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).
You will learn to master the art of crafting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical components under the guidance of professionals, and you will develop the skills needed to fabricate and repair parts with precision and excellence.

What you will be doing
- Operate general manual machines
- Dismantle and assembly of various pieces of equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance of existing equipment
- Problem solve and work with plant and heavy equipment
- Comply with OH&S policies and procedures.
What we are looking for
- Completion of a Pre-Apprenticeship Cert II Mechanical Engineering
- Loves to be hands-on and is dedicated in pursuing a career within the industry
- Current Manual Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Safety mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable with working on machinery that cuts and sorts animal products
- Team Player and collaborative approach to work
- Must be an Australian citizen/and or Permanent Resident
- MIG and TIG welding experience (highly regarded)
