About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a fast-paced manufacturing and maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an industrial or engineering environment, with strong skills in fault finding, machinery repairs, and preventative maintenance.

You'll work on a variety of plant equipment, performing machining, welding, and fabrication tasks, ensuring optimal machine performance and minimal downtime.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and servicing of plant equipment and machinery.
  • Perform fault finding, troubleshooting, and breakdown response.
  • Carry out machining, welding (TIG/MIG), lathe, and milling work.
  • Handle hydraulic and pneumatic systems with confidence.
  • Undertake fabrication and fitting tasks as required.
  • Contribute to preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:
  • Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning) or equivalent qualification (VET/apprenticeship).
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering settings.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Vehicle mechanic or plant mechanic background also considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong safety awareness and a proactive approach to maintenance.
