Position Profile
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurses who have a special interest in Adolescent Medical Specialities and Eating Disorders to join our dynamic team. You will be a pivotal part of the multidisciplinary team in providing evidence-based care to adolescent patients. Ward 4A is the only specialised Adolescent Medical Ward in Western Australia and designed to provide comprehensive medical, psychological, and social care for adolescents (typically aged 12-16) who require hospitalisation. As part of the multidisciplinary team, we focus on addressing complex health concerns including chronic medical conditions, eating disorders, mental health concerns, and acute medical conditions that require age-appropriate care. The Clinical Nurse provides clinical and professional expertise within the team, facilitating and promoting safety and quality of care. The Clinical Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Requirements
- Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- It is preferred that applicants have experience in a similar role.
- A willingness to learn and embrace the unique challenges and rewards of paediatric nursing.
- A collaborative leader who is compassionate and strives for excellence.

Selection and Documentation
Your ability to meet the work-related requirements will be assessed throughout the recruitment process. Within the application system you will be presented with the four (4) questions below. Please respond by describing your relevant skills and experience in line with the Essential Criteria within the attached Job Description Form. Please answer the selection criteria below in no more than 3 pages;
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care within the practice setting. (Selection criteria 2)
- Well-developed communication skills, including teaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. (Selection criteria 3)
- Demonstrated leadership skills. (Selection criteria 6)
- Demonstrated experience with continuous quality improvement, application of nursing research and the implementation of evidence-based practice. (Selection criteria 7)
