Summary
Multiple 5.0 FTE positions across Laverton and Leonora. As Clinical Nurse you will manage, coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across 24‑hour accident & emergency, acute admission beds, community care, residential aged care and respite beds.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate and evaluate nursing care for patients in a variety of settings.
- Act as a clinical expert and provide professional advice on clinical standards.
- Coordinate the operational management of the unit on a shift basis.
- Lead multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of healthcare delivery.
- Monitor nursing practice and implement management strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research programmes.
Ideal Candidates
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in an Emergency Department.
- Experience with triage.
- Advanced nursing practice within residential aged care and acute clinical settings.
- Strong planning, coordination and decision‑making skills with ability to prioritise patient care.
- Well‑developed leadership abilities and effective teamwork skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough knowledge of quality and risk management principles.
- Eligibility for or possession of a current C or C‑A class driver’s licence.
- Commitment to best practices in a rural health care environment.
- Dedication to delivering health care with cultural sensitivity to First Nations communities.
