The Role

The position forms part of team of committed traffic engineersand technical professionals all working towards delivering vibrantself-sustaining communities that are; accessible, functional, safeand well-connected.

As a key member of the team, you are responsible for providing aquality, innovative and solution focused road safety, parking,traffic and transport engineering related investigations,assessments and approvals in relation to the city’s local andarterial road networks; Ensuring that engineering solutions areimplemented innovatively within a growth area context and inaccordance with industry standards, specifications and Councilpolicy and guidelines.

About you

You will be qualified in CivilEngineering (or other equivalent engineering discipline), with aminimum 4 years’ experience in traffic and transportengineering, or closely related field preferably in Local or StateGovernment. You will have worked with a range of internal andexternal stakeholders and have strong communication skills,understanding of the local government engineering, planning andstatutory reporting frameworks, policies and procedures, as well asworking positively in a team environment.

You would have understanding of the application of municipaltraffic and transport issues related to existing and especially inproposed urban areas and growth area planning using industry bestpractice principles and advanced time management skills, with theability to complete multiple activities at a time.
