About the role

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As an Information and Records Manager, you’ll:

- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide records and information governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

- Oversee the lifecycle management of information assets, including creation, classification, retention, and secure destruction.

- Act as the primary liaison between data owners, stewards, custodians, and business units to embed governance practices and drive cultural change.

- Facilitate cross-functional working groups to address governance challenges and promote best practices.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory obligations (e.g., APRA, ASIC, Privacy Act, Records Management Standards, GDPR).

- Monitor and report on records and information quality, usage, retention, and compliance metrics.

- Lead and support audits, risk assessments, and remediation activities related to records and information governance.

- Develop and deliver training, communications, and awareness programs to promote ethical, compliant, and effective information management.

This role is a permanent opportunity.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- Extensive experience in records management, information governance, or data governance at a senior level.

- Deep understanding of governance frameworks and standards (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, ISO 15489, GDPR).

- Demonstrated ability to design and implement enterprise-wide governance programs.

- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to work across technical and business domains, driving alignment and accountability.

- Experience in superannuation, financial services, or other highly regulated industries (desirable).

- Knowledge of privacy, information security, and regulatory compliance requirements (desirable).

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, CIP, IGGP, CIPP/E) (desirable).

- Experience leading change management and education initiatives in information governance (desirable).
