Role

ACCIONA is seeking expressions of interest from an experienced Procurement Manager to support upcoming water infrastructure projects across New South Wales. These projects may include treatment plants, pipelines, pumping stations, and other critical water assets. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team contributing to sustainable water solutions. The role will be based in Sydney, with flexibility to work across multiple project sites throughout NSW as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and company objectives.

- Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.

- Provide expert guidance on procurement planning and supplier selection.

2. Contract & Supplier Management

- Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships to ensure value and compliance.

- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues proactively.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

- Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and deliver tailored solutions.

- Advise senior management on procurement risks and opportunities.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain and contract execution.

5. Leadership & Capability Building

- Mentor procurement staff and promote continuous improvement.

- Deliver training to enhance procurement knowledge across the organization.

Required Skills and Competencies

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (preferred but not essential).

- Minimum 8 years' experience in procurement, ideally within engineering, construction, or infrastructure.

- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in procurement systems, MS Office, and document management platforms.

- Experience managing large-scale procurement programs from concept to delivery.
