We are seeking highly motivated Lawyers with relevant experience to join our General Counsel team.
As a Lawyer in our ATO Corporate business area, you will be responsible for the effective management of legal cases across teams and the ATO. This includes analysing, interpreting, and applying legislation, policies, practices, and precedents to make recommendations and manage general law legal risks, including complex cases. You’ll provide legal advice, obtain information, discuss cases, and influence business partners to adopt legally sound approaches.
As a member of our in-house legal practice, you will assist in the development of less experienced colleagues and apply your knowledge and experience in the provision of legal advice to a range of stakeholders. You'll identify, evaluate, and manage the resolution of complex and/or sensitive issues and take ownership for actions taken.
These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD. A merit pool may be formed and used to fill future similar vacancies in these locations and other locations within the same metropolitan area.
