About the team
Our Brisbane Planning & Environment team sits within a national practice group that acts for a vast range of clients in planning, environment, infrastructure and cultural heritage. The team works with clients across private and public sectors (local, state, federal). Led by Wendy Evans, a leading planning lawyer and qualified town planner, she is a Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia and provides expert Court witness services.
About the role
We are looking for a Brisbane-based lawyer with 3‑4 years post‑admission experience in planning and environment. You will work alongside Wendy and SC Nicole Besgrove, play a key role in the team, and receive excellent mentoring from two of the market’s leading lawyers.
Key exposure:
- Development strategy work
- Infrastructure, environmental and cultural heritage work
- Statutory planning tasks
- Planning and environment court work
About you
You have a genuine passion for planning and environment law, and openness to challenge and growth. You will have experience from a well-regarded planning team (private practice or government) with diverse matters; existing court work is a plus. You are self‑motivated, efficient, integrity‑driven, collaborative, and value excellence.
