About the Role

The Account Executive will focus on growing Esri Australia’s presence in the Commercial sector by identifying opportunities and building strong client relationships. You’ll work with prospects and existing customers to understand their needs and demonstrate how our geospatial solutions can add value to their business. Success in this role comes from developing a healthy pipeline, achieving sales targets, and maintaining trusted relationships within your territory.

The key deliverables will consist of:

1. New business development

- Identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities within the commercial sector
- Build strong relationships with prospects and clients to understand their needs
- Demonstrate how Esri’s solutions can deliver value to their business

2. Territory and pipeline management

- Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities across your territory
- Focus on high-potential prospects and accounts as guided by management
- Track activities and progress through our CRM to ensure visibility and consistency

3. Sales engagement

- Present and demonstrate Esri Australia’s GIS and location intelligence solutions
- Support proposal development and respond to client requirements
- Contribute to tender responses with guidance from senior team members

4. Hitting targets

- Work towards quarterly and annual sales goals
- Keep your pipeline updated and balanced to support consistent results
- Provide accurate updates and reporting on your sales activities

About You

We’re looking for a motivated sales professional to drive new business growth across the Commercial sector. This is a great opportunity to join Australia’s leading spatial intelligence company, work with a passionate and collaborative team, and help clients unlock the value of geospatial solutions to achieve their goals.

You will be successful if you have:

- A natural connector with experience selling business software solutions, technical, professional or managed services, ideally in or to the Commercial sector.
- Energetic, strategic, and hungry to generate new opportunities beyond your existing network – you hunt, not wait.
- Experience in account management, pipeline development, and closing complex deals.
- Adept at navigating complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder environments.
- An articulated communicator with strong business writing and presentation skills.
- Experienced working in a structured, process-driven sales environment.
- Understanding of spatial industry desirable, appetite to learn about it is essential.
- Current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
