Contract Administrator - Telecommunications Date: 6 Sept 2025 Location: Cremorne, VIC, AU, 3121 Company: Ventia About the Role Ventia are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator within our Telecommunications team. This is a Permanent Full-time position based out of our Cremorne Street, Cremorne, VIC 3121 office. We are open to applications for our Wetherhill Park, NSW or West End, QLD offices. Reporting to the Senior Contracts Administrator with oversight of customer portfolios, this position has responsibility for onboarding, commercial compliance and the commercial management of our extensive national supply chain. The role supports client and supply chain commercial activities including notices, variations, claims and governance. The role may also support continuous improvement opportunities, pre-contract tendering, and general commercial and business activities. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Timely and accurate onboarding of the supply chain, including subcontract preparation and execution, departure preparation and negotiations (within company framework), pricing setup and compliance activities. - Work collaboratively with operational teams to meet project demands, prepare scope and procurement strategy, and complete selection and assessment processes. - Act as commercial representative with the supply chain to work through commercial matters. - Maintain a compliant supply chain including contract extensions, insurances, issuing of notices, variations, etc. - Maintain commercial records and registers including notices, insurances, securities. - Pre-emptive identification and resolution of compliance issues including SOPA, licensing and levies. - Creation and implementation of processes, procedures and tools. - Support the accurate and effective commercial and contract management of the contract/project up and down stream. - KPI/SLA performance tracking and support mitigation strategy development and rollout. - Prepare, review, submit and monitor notices including variation, compliance and claims. - Support the management and resolution of defects, third party damages and complaints. - Support in pre-contract activities including contract reviews, risk management, pricing and compliance documentation preparation. - Collaborate with the wider support team, business, VisRes, corporate legal and commercial teams to achieve outcomes. About You To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Law, Business Management or similar with 3+ years’ experience working in commercial/legal/contracts administration, ideally in the telecommunications industry. - Working knowledge, ability to read and apply standard forms of subcontracts and mechanisms. - Proven commercial acumen: subcontract management / tendering, legal claims, administration, modelling, KPIs, profit improvement. - Intermediate / Advanced user of Microsoft suite (particularly MS Excel), Sharepoint and JIRA. - Negotiating and influencing to achieve desired outcomes.
