This role is a Christmas Casual role spanning over 12 weeks of our summer holiday period with the potential for ongoing roles at the end of our peak season.

We are seeking fun, outgoing individuals with a passion for customer service for casual and permanent employees to join our Commercial Front line teams at SEA LIFE Melbourne. Availability over Christmas, New Years and January is a must.

In this position you ensure that all guests receive outstanding customer service. You offer the best deals, help customers find their desired products, use your sales skills to upsell strategically and ensure an all-round flawless commercial experience. Next to working on cash registers you will be helping with deliveries, maintaining food safety standards, restocking shelves/fridges/displays and ensure the overall presentation of the outlets is up to standard.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the SEA LIFE Melbourne café and retail outlets as well as enhancing every guests visit. You will provide world class service, both front-of-house and back-of-house, in a fast-paced environment that serves over 150,000 people annually. Further responsibilities include:

- Provide world-class customer service to all guests

- Work with the Supervisors to improve the operational process of the cafe and retail outlets

- Support the café staff in other areas of the café to ensure a seamless operation

- Ensure daily cleaning and organisational tasks are completed fully and on time

About You

To shine in this role, you will ideally:

- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high level of confidence in interacting with guests

- Proven ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously is necessary

- POS experience is favourable

- Previous experience in hospitality and upholding food & safety policies

- Experience in food prep and food handling highly favourable

- Strong work ethic and the demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced team-oriented environment keeping cool, calm and collected

- Availability on weekends, Christmas, New Years and January are a must during our peak holiday period

- You are also a strong communicator and are able to build rapport across the business. Your ability to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach along with the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
