We are the voice that brings Intrepid’s adventure to life, and play a critical role in the growth and protection of our brand. Whether it’s through social media, public relations, or corporate communications this team works on the brand’s frontlines, utilising owned, earned, and shared channels to tell a succinct and impactful brand story.
Intrepid are on the lookout for a PR & Social Coordinator to provide vital coordination and functional support for all things PR across APAC. This may involve responding to media inquiries, drafting press releases, organising media trips, supporting influencer projects, tracking press coverage, and updating our CRM and media lists. This person will also be responsible for proactive & reactive moderation and engagement across our global social media channels. Working closely with Intrepid’s Global Social team, you will have direct communication with our customers and traveller community, with a goal of creating a fantastic customer service and brand experience. The PR & Social Coordinator will work closely in the development and execution of multiple PR projects and play a key role in the day-to-day functions that power the department. It is a role that mixes creativity with organisation, giving you a chance to shape stories that spark a love for travel with everyone you reach. This is a full-time position based out of our HQ on Collins Street in Melbourne.
You will have a passion for travel and:
- 1+ years of PR experience in-house or agency-side
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competency with analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of Intrepid and our style of travel
- Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Understanding of news/social media with a finger on the pulse of local and global trends
- Understanding and value alignment with Intrepid’s responsible travel ethos and values
