Overview

Our client is a dynamic, multi-disciplined property development company with projects nationwide. Specialising in hotels, accommodation and lifestyle villages, their in-house construction division is seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to lead safety initiatives across a diverse portfolio. This role will see you design and manage WHS systems that not only ensure compliance but also build a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement WHS management systems suited to construction and property development.

- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and regulatory requirements across QLD, SA, and NSW.

- Lead and manage WHS audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

- Support Site Managers in using digital platforms for safety reporting and documentation.

- Drive a culture of safety awareness and innovation across all project teams.

- Deliver training, coaching, and practical guidance to staff on WHS best practice.

- Work with Project Managers and stakeholders to integrate WHS into project planning and delivery.

Criteria

- Extensive experience managing WHS within the construction industry.

- Proven background supporting property development projects.

- MUST have experience with high rise residential or commercial projects.

- Strong capability in developing and embedding WHS systems.

- Practical experience with One Bread Crumb and Procore platforms (desirable).

- Solid understanding of WHS legislation across QLD, SA, and NSW.

- Formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety (or a related field).

- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Willingness to travel interstate as required
