Job Description

- Prepare and manage accurate budgets and forecasts for the Science Faculty.
- Analyse financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Produce regular financial reports, ensuring compliance with organisational guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address financial queries and provide advice.
- Monitor faculty expenditure and highlight variances to the leadership team.
- Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects as required by the department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements in Australia.
