The Accountant is responsible for the development and enforcement of all of the accounting function in the company. The position takes charge of financial accounting and management accounting. The Accountant contributes to the Executive Management team and supports the growth of the business by producing, measuring and managing the cash flow forecasts and the cash demands of the business.

Responsibilities

- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, ensuring timely and accurate processing and payments.

- Managing company cashflow and monthly invoicing targets.

- Managing annual budget cycle including quarterly forecasts.

- Monthly and quarterly (where required) reconciliations of balance sheet and bank accounts.

- Managing payroll for the business and ensuring accuracy at all times.

- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for presentation to internal management and external stakeholders, and ensuring accuracy of reports at all times.

- Maintaining a high level of communication with key stakeholders within the business and ensuring their requests are followed through as appropriate.

- Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure

- Providing financial advice to executive management team on business structure, plans and operations

- Developing and maintaining budgetary and accounting policies and systems

- Advising on accounting software and processes and ensure the application of the best computer-based accounting systems

- As part of the executive management team, providing input into the commercial and operational activities affecting the Company

- Assisting with resource planning, hiring and the technical development and training of new staff.

Qualifications

1. A college degree in Accounting and CPA with at least two years experience in a management or supervisory position.

2. Two years specific accounting experience in large audit, multinational organisations.

3. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and work towards tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

4. Excellent attention to detail to detect errors and ensure accuracy.

5. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently evaluate and recommend solutions.

6. Excellent customer service skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate with people from various business professions in a professional and confident manner.

7. Demonstrated ability to exercise substantial levels of independence, judgment and initiative.
