Full-time - Fixed-term position
Are you passionate about supporting young people's mental health and wellbeing? headspace Emerald is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to provide evidence-based care and empower young people through inclusive, youth-friendly practices.
What will a typical day look like?
1. Promote and adhere to youth-friendly practice principles.
2. Monitor and conduct clinical assessments focused on young people at headspace Emerald and develop care plans based on their needs.
3. Deliver evidence-based early/brief intervention therapy, including group interventions and problem solving with young people and their families.
4. Work collaboratively with the young person and their families to develop individual treatment plans that are person-centred and directed by the young person as much as possible.
5. Provide an inclusive practice that values the significance of family and friends in a young person's life.
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Psychologists with full and current registration to practice with AHPRA, and who are working towards membership of their relevant peak professional body (APS).
2. Social Workers holding an approved Social Work Qualification (Bachelor/Master of Social Work) with additional mental health training or endorsement, and eligibility or working towards membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
3. Occupational Therapists with full and current registration with AHPRA and additional mental health training or endorsement.
4. Division 1 Mental Health Nurses with relevant experience or postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing.

headspace is Australia's National Young Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention services to 12-25-year-olds. We focus on early support to help young people manage their mental health and get back on track.

Other Requirements:
1. Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check).
2. Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption).
