Description

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire a Business Development Executive for the ANZ Construction Sector. This person will be responsible in helping generate sales via lead generation, setting up of initial meetings, coordinating events and travel schedules as well as assisting the team in overall business activities to grow the territory. This role will also assist in the servicing of existing clients to ensure renewal revenue targets are met. If successful, this role can lead to a more senior role in the business development team.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this role; candidates must be Australian Citizens or hold Permanent Residency.

This position is an integral part of Oxford’s growth plans for Asia Pacific and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. The key responsibilities within this role are as follows:

Key Responsibilities

- Support the team in reaching their Business Development and Account Management objectives and KPIs.

- Support the team in reaching their subscription sales and renewal sales target.

- Research and identify sales opportunities within the ANZ territory.

- Assist the team in managing relationships with existing clients to ensure a smooth renewal process and work on upselling new subscription products

- Contact sales opportunities with aim to generate new business meetings

- Increasing service usage and adoption amongst client base, Train new users on services, as required by your team

- Maintain an accurate and up to date record of all their sale activity, recorded in Salesforce.

- Support where required the up to date and accurate input of their team’s sales activity into the CRM

- Fully competent on sales resources including OE CRM (Salesforce)

- Report on client usage, users, opportunities and risks, using supporting software

- Support your team to understand an account when preparing for renewal, upsell or new business meetings

- Take the lead on the execution of sales campaigns

- Takes the lead on contacting inbound enquiries and can assess the opportunity before passing on to the Account Executive

- Understands core services and is able to run product demonstrations.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally within a relevant field (economics, business, finance, marketing)

- Native English speaker

- 2+ years’ experience in a client facing role, ideally within the construction sector

- Experienced in generating new business opportunities through cold outreach and prospecting

- An interest in economics, current affairs and the construction sector

- Comfortable making cold calls

- Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once

- Strong writing skills

- Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

- Must be a team player
