Life‑changing impact starts with an incredible team that sees their career as an opportunity to transform someone’s world. Whether that’s inspiring students, supporting each other, or helping our communities and industries flourish.

We live by TAFE NSW values: Customer Focus, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence. They define who we are, how we work and inspire our performance.

We invest in our people

At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work.

We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs with a variety of flexible working options.

About the Role

As the Director Agency Alignment and Integration, you will operate at a strategic, whole‑of‑agency level to drive alignment between TAFE NSW and broader government priorities. You will lead cross‑functional and cross‑agency coordination, connecting work across diverse business units to ensure performance, delivery, and strategic outcomes are achieved cohesively and effectively.

A key aspect of this role is representing both TAFE NSW and the Managing Director in government and inter‑agency forums, building trusted relationships that advance organisational priorities and strengthen collaboration with the Department of Education and other government partners.

You will provide high‑level strategic advice, analysis, and insight to support informed decision‑making and effective risk management across TAFE NSW’s strategic initiatives. You will monitor delivery performance, identify dependencies, oversee progress on key programs, and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.

This role requires agility, political acumen, and sound judgment to navigate complex and dynamic environments. You will be a credible, diplomatic representative who influences outcomes through collaboration, consultation, and evidence‑based advice, ensuring TAFE NSW remains an effective and respected partner within the broader NSW Government network.

About You

You are a strategic and collaborative leader with strong experience in government or the public sector, skilled in organisational performance, program delivery, and cross‑agency coordination.

You excel in navigating complex environments, building consensus, and influencing decision‑making at executive and ministerial levels. Your leadership style is inclusive, professional, and grounded in integrity, bringing people together to achieve practical, outcomes‑focused solutions while maintaining respect for roles, responsibilities, and ownership boundaries.

Analytical and politically astute, you provide clear, evidence‑based advice, manage competing priorities, and align diverse stakeholders toward shared goals. You bring the following:

- Proven experience in cross‑agency collaboration and stakeholder engagement

- Ability to influence, negotiate, and represent effectively at senior levels across government and industry

- Experience providing strategic advice and performance oversight that drives organisational outcomes

- You hold a degree in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience suited to this senior leadership role.

Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion

We are committed to creating a culturally safe and accessible workplace where dignity, trust, respect, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion are valued, so you can safely bring your whole self to work and connect with your community through our many diverse employee networks.
