ABOUT US
Kinexus is a specialist recruiter in the Defence and Federal Government space. We have been recruiting technical ICT and engineering staff in Australia for over 24 years, and we're now looking to add to our experienced team at our head office in Sydney's CBD.
With our strong defence background, Kinexus is uniquely positioned to support projects for clients across Australia. The defence market is in a transitional period, creating both exciting opportunities and complex challenges, and we are here to help our clients and candidates navigate both.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Talent Manager to source and engage candidates across the wide range of engineering projects we support. This is a candidate-focused role, working with both our existing talent pool and new candidates sourced through the many methods at our disposal.
- Sourcing and connecting with engineering professionals, particularly those with Defence backgrounds.
- Developing and maintaining a network of ex-ADF and Defence technicians.
- Identifying opportunities to connect with security-cleared technical candidates across engineering disciplines.
- Building long-term, trusted relationships with candidates.
- Developing a strong social media and industry presence.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
This role doesn't necessarily require recruitment experience. In fact, ex-Defence professionals often thrive with us. We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- An understanding of Defence - either from uniform or industry
- The ability to connect with a broad range of people.
- An outcome-driven mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive approach to achieving targets and outcomes.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
You don't need to arrive with recruitment experience, we'll help you build it.
Our dedicated Learning & Development program provides comprehensive training, supporting all new hires to continually grow in this complex and rewarding industry.
You'll have access to:
- A structured training schedule to build recruitment skills.
- A dedicated mentoring program to support career growth.
- Ongoing development opportunities to deepen your expertise in a sector that truly matters.
KINEXUS BENEFITS
- Monthly RDO.
- Flexible working - 4 days in the office, 1 day from home.
- End-of-quarter social events.
- Annual high achievers/' trip.
- A unique, collaborative team culture.
We are also open to sponsoring a visa for the right candidate, subject to eligibility criteria.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary plus commission.
WHY JOIN US?
If you have Defence experience and want to stay connected with the Defence sector, while building a career in recruitment - this is the opportunity for you.
We'd love to hear from you. Get in touch and show us what you've got.
All applications should include your resume as a Word document. For more information, visit our website, www.kinexus.com.au or contact Simon Blake on 02 9492 7513
