About the Role
This position plays a key role in optimising various asset management systems and will:
- Capture and maintain the asset information accurately and perform day-to-day asset information management tasks that support asset financial management, operations, maintenance, condition assessment, risk assessment and asset investment planning functions of the Division.
- Participate in the asset management continuous improvement program by monitoring and analysing the asset information from various sources and assist asset engineers with timely asset information for informed decision making.
This role will work from our office on Walker Street, Townsville City.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary level qualifications in Engineering or related Asset Management areas.
- Understanding of best practices in terms of data capture, with respect to a local government organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with business information systems specifically in relation to Asset Management Information Systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in performing financial asset management functions.
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering/infrastructure plans and standards, and a demonstrated ability to interpret them and translate the information into the corporate Asset Management Information System.
- Ability to analyse problems and provide a solution (both technical and non-technical), standards and procedures.
- An understanding of Open space and Irrigation asset data structures.
- Knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems including the Microsoft Office suite, GIS and Business Management Systems.
- Current Queensland C class driver’s licence.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and guidelines relating to the QLD Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards.
