Nurse Unit Manager – General Medical Ward

About the Role:

MMT Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity on behalf of our client, a highly respected private hospital. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead their 30-bed General Medical Ward. You will work within a supportive team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while providing clinical leadership and managing resources. This role offers great opportunities for professional development in a collaborative and positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for the General Medical Ward.
- Ensure efficient and effective nursing care based on evidence-based practices.
- Manage daily operations, including human, financial, and material resources.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster a cohesive team environment and support staff professional development.

Essential Criteria:

- Current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Nurse Unit Manager role or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of ACSQHC National Standards and experience in labor and HR management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare databases.
- Working with Children Check.
