This is a full-time, permanent leadership position within the Kelpie ward, overseeing adolescent, oncology, and rehabilitation care services.
About The RoleAs a senior nurse, you will lead and manage the ward operations, clinical governance, and professional standards. You will foster a positive work environment, ensure high-quality patient care, and support staff development. The role reports to the General Manager, Division of Medicine.
Classification: NM11, NUM Level 2. Salary: $136,344 per annum plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to ensure safe, evidence-based nursing care
- Manage ward operations, budget, and strategic initiatives
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth
- Promote continuous quality improvement and team capacity building
- Uphold professional conduct and act as a role model
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with NMBA/AHPRA
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Management or leadership experience
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards it; Masters preferred
- Training in leadership and management is desirable
A 32-bed inpatient unit for children and adolescents aged 5-20 with acute and chronic health conditions, providing multidisciplinary care.
