About the Role

ACC Hobart is seeking to appoint a part-time (0.8FTE, 60.8 hours per fortnight) Christian English Teacher, also covering a component of History or Drama.

This role is available to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the capacity to:

1. Actively lead the Christian formation of students;
2. Lead in delivering Pastoral Care grounded in genuine Christian faith;
3. Contribute to an inclusive learning environment and foster cross-cultural understanding among students;
4. Develop an educational approach that is biblically grounded, Christ-focused, culturally engaging, and academically rigorous. Preference will be given to teachers familiar with the Explicit Instruction model;
5. Teach the prescribed curriculum within a conducive learning environment to develop students’ interests, skills, and abilities; and
6. Participate in staff meetings, contribute to extracurricular activities, and liaise with parents as appropriate.

- You are eager to collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching and learning programs.
- You possess a servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.
