About the position
The School of Education recently received philanthropic funding to lead a multi-party research project to co-design and implement a pilot post-secondary school transition program with young people in one metropolitan and one regional location. This work requires a project coordinator to manage the development of project timelines related to this funding, ensuring key deliverables are met.
Reporting to the Lead Chief Investigator, this position will coordinate the development of project plans and timely outputs. The role will include development and monitoring of budgets, creating and implementing project timelines and working with relevant stakeholders to successfully implement the project.

Responsibilities include coordinating project plans and timelines, monitoring budgets, delivering key outputs on schedule, and engaging with stakeholders to implement the project.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have
- A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Ability to be responsible for program/system development and implementation.
- Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate inclusivity and tailor communication in a way that is meaningful to the audience – consistently modelling accountability, connectedness, innovation and care.
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking, ability to generate ideas to solve local problems and recommend improvements to current work practices.
- Demonstrated experience in co-design with young people.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level of self-motivation and personal management skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing and controlling budgets/resources/funding and an understanding of financial management procedures.
- Experience developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planning.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships.
- The ability to work autonomously and with minimal amount of supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative to recognise potential obstacles and identify creative solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders across a large organisation
- An understanding of the academic research process.
