Overview

Lancemore Mansion Hotel are currently seeking a Kitchen Hand/ Steward to join our Kitchen team. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist in maintaining a clean and functional working environment.

This role is suitable for busy periods with potential for the right candidates to join the team on a casual basis.

Responsibilities

- Assist in maintaining a clean and functional working environment in the kitchen.
- Support in the dishwasher and hot kitchen areas.
- Be available to participate in a 7 day working roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Take initiative and be a team player.
- Handle a moderate amount of lifting.
- Contribute to good personal presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and a can-do attitude.
- There is potential to work in the Functions kitchen as required.

Qualifications / Preferences

- Ability in handling chemicals.
- An understanding of a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work around the dishwasher and hot kitchen.
- Availability to participate in a 7 day roster including weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment.
