This is a newly created opportunity to shape and embed the RBA’s next-generation on-premises infrastructure services. The team is responsible for the transition and operationalisation of the new infrastructure platforms currently being implemented.Information Technology anchors the RBA's strategic responsibilities and is the core provider of technology facilities, services, and support to the organisation. You'll be joining a committed and supportive team that values continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.**About the role**Reporting to the Infrastructure Practice Manager, this role requires deep expertise in on-premises infrastructure, including VMware, Windows Server, and Linux Server environments.You will apply DevOps principles, drive automation using PowerShell and Shell scripting, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. A strong focus on operational excellence, system reliability, and secure infrastructure delivery is essential.**About you**You are a highly skilled DevOps engineer with a passion for modernisation and automation. You bring a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset:* Terraform Certified with deep knowledge of the HashiCorp toolset (Vault, Terraform, Packer).* Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent AWS/GCP certification.* Proven experience deploying Terraform in highly secure, multi-datacentre environments.* Expertise in Windows Server or Red Hat Linux operating systems.* Experience with VMware ESXI 7 or later.* Proficient in configuration management using Puppet or similar tools.* Skilled in application packaging and deployment using Chocolatey, Artifactory, and Red Hat Satellite or similar tools.* Familiarity with Cisco Intersight for infrastructure management.**Behavioural Attributes*** Able to present complex technical data in a meaningful way to both business and IT stakeholders.* Comfortable working across multiple disciplines in a large-scale enterprise environment.* Experienced in supporting large-scale workload migrations.* Provides constructive feedback and guidance to support team development and continuous improvement.* Embraces a learning mindset and encourages innovation in systems and software lifecycle practices.**Be More**Working for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
