About the role

This isn’t a desk job or role where you are managing one big site; you’ll be leading multiple rebuild projects at once, from storm repairs to partial rebuilds and everything in between.

As our first Project Manager in QLD, you’ll take ownership across:

- Overseeing multiple residential insurance projects from assessment to completion

- Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders

- Keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and to high standards

- Being the go-to person for clients, ensuring trust and clear communication

- Resolving onsite challenges before they become issues

- Managing documentation, scope changes, and financials

You’ll also help us shape how we do things in QLD, building systems, culture, and eventually stepping into leadership as the team grows.

About you

You’re an experienced manager of projects and people, ready to step into a role with real impact.

We’re looking for someone who brings

- 5+ years of experience supervising residential (and/or commercial) construction, preferably in the insurance industry

- Solid knowledge or experience of estimating (until we have an estimator on the team)

- QBCC Site Supervisor licence (required)

- Trade certification (Cert III) preferred, with Cert IV or Diploma in Building & Construction a plus.

- A strong understanding of Australian Standards, the Building Act, and compliance requirements.

- Exceptional time management skills; you’ll be juggling multiple projects at once.

- Leadership experience; managing teams, subcontractors, and complex builds.

- A customer-focused approach; professional, approachable, and confident with clients.

- A proactive mindset; you take ownership, solve problems, and keep projects moving.
