Brisbane City Council’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traineeship Pathway program will provide you with hands‑on conservation experience while gaining a Certificate II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management. This is a chance to connect with Country, restore natural landscapes, and develop a career in environmental management.

What we’re looking for:
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Passion for caring for Country and protecting nature.
- Reliable and willing to learn.
- Committed to completing training modules throughout the year.
- Able to travel across Brisbane (some locations may not be serviced by public transport).
After completing the traineeship, you’ll have:
- a nationally recognised qualification (Cert II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management)
- hands‑on experience in conservation projects
- the skills to apply for roles within Council or beyond.
