About the role

As Clinical Care Manager at Calvary Cessnock, you will support the Home Manager to create and maintain an environment where residents feel valued, they are treated with dignity and respect and each resident’s individual needs, wishes and goals are met.

With direct clinical oversight for up to 100 residents, you will lead a team including Clinical Care Coordinators, Registered Nurses and Personal Care Workers, ensuring they understand who the residents are including their identity, culture, diversity, beliefs and life experiences. You will be part of an integrated team of people working within an established and agreed framework supporting the resident to live their best life.

Your main duties will include:

- Provide clinical and leadership support to Home Manager.
- Support care delivery through leadership and guidance to Clinical & Care Team.
- Deliver time specific quality and clinical improvement projects at a Care Home level.

About you

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
- Experience in a management role within the aged care sector with a proven track record
- A proven ability in quality management using a teambuilding approach through mentoring and staff development
- A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
- An inherit curiosity and a personal value of wanting to do better all the time, a change leader.
