Columbia Aged Care Services, an innovative leader in the sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Care Services Manager to join our team at Oberon Village.
In this key role, you will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of personal and clinical care services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care that meets and exceeds the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong clinical leadership and effectively managing nursing staff, agency personnel, and allied health professionals.
- Overseeing care planning, assessments, and documentation to ensure individual resident needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding and ensuring compliance with all relevant aged care legislation, including the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices, and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Managing financial resources, including budgets and supplies, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Fostering a positive, collaborative, and supportive environment for staff, promoting their professional development.
- Championing resident rights and advocating for their well-being in all aspects of care.
Job Description
- Current and unrestricted registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior management role within aged care.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing clinical teams, with a focus on performance development and accountability.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Act, with a strong understanding of the new Strengthened Standards and their practical application.
- Proven ability to implement and evaluate quality management systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a resident-first approach to care.
- Current National Police Check
