As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients. **Employee Type: Casual** **Work Setting: Community home care** **Pay Range: $20-24 Per Hour- Canadian Dollar (CAD)** **Key Responsibilities**: * **Providing Essential Homemaking Support**: Execute homemaking tasks according to the established care plan, ensuring the highest standards of comfort and safety for our clients. * **Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment**: Perform light housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage. * **Meal Preparation and Shopping**: Prepare nutritious meals as outlined in the care plan and shop for groceries and personal items. * **Childcare and Pet Care**: Provide attentive childcare and pet care as specified in the care plan. * **Monitoring and Reporting**: Observe client conditions meticulously and report any unusual events or changes in condition promptly. * **Infection Prevention**: Adhere to infection prevention practices to ensure a safe environment. * **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation as required. * **Continuous Learning**: Engage in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay updated with best practices in home support. **We Offer**: * Competitive salary and benefits package for you and your family * Flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule * Opportunities for professional growth and development * A supportive and inclusive work environment with easy access to managers Qualifications : **Education**: * Secondary School Graduate or equivalent * Completion of Home Support Program/courses preferred **Other Requirements**: * Reliable transportation * Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening **Experience and skills**: * Proven experience, of at least one year, in a similar role is highly desirable. * Understanding of infection prevention practices. * Exceptional communication and observational skills. * Proficiency in performing light housekeeping tasks. * Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
