We are currently seeking a capable and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join a local Government client in Perth's Southern Suburbs.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end support across operational finance activities, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable. Working collaboratively within the finance team, you will ensure financial processes are efficient, compliant, and well-governed while delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

Start: ASAP

Hours: Full time Hours during business hours

Duration: Approx 3 months with potential to extend

Pay rate: Approx $40ph - $42ph+ super

Location: Southern Suburbs

Your responsibilities

- Managing debtor invoicing, credit notes, refunds, and reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate debtor records and ensuring compliance with contracts and lease agreements
- Overseeing debt collection processes and managing outstanding accounts in line with policy
- Administering corporate credit card processing and reconciliations
- Preparing debtor reports to support monthly and annual reporting requirements
- Supporting month and year-end close processes, audits, and system governance
- Providing excellent customer service to suppliers, stakeholders, and colleagues
- Identifying process improvements and contributing to system optimization

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in finance, accounts receivable, or administration
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Sound understanding of financial procedures, compliance, and record keeping
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency with finance systems (ERP experience desirable) and Microsoft Office
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage competing priorities
- A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business will be highly regarded, but not essential.
