Contract Until End of February – Government Department, CBD Location – Working from Home Arrangement. Implementation of web portal hosted on AWS.

Our Government client is developing a new web portal hosted on AWS, in collaboration with a SaaS provider. They are looking for an experienced AWS Engineer/Architect to ensure the solution is fit-for-purpose, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess the SaaS-hosted AWS solution to ensure it meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to define technical and security requirements for the SaaS provider.
- Review and challenge architecture proposals from the SaaS provider to ensure they align with best practices and objectives.
- Co-develop the AWS solution, collaborating closely with the SaaS provider’s technical teams as needed.
- Provide ongoing security oversight, including identifying risks, validating controls, and contributing to security documentation.

Key Skills

- Strong experience in AWS cloud architecture and security best practices.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS environments and how to evaluate their security posture and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience in cloud security assessments and securing AWS-based applications.
- Ability to define and validate technical requirements, especially around identity, access management, data protection, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between the client and the SaaS provider.
