Front Counter Sales / Warehouse Assistant

The Role

FHR currently have multiple opportunities for an experienced Front Counter Sales/Warehouse Assistant to join our client located in Carrara. We have immediate starts available for the candidates who're successful in their application for these positions.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service & Sales Support: Provide professional and friendly service to trade and retail customers, processing sales orders accurately and offering product advice or recommendations based on customer needs.

- Order Processing & Invoicing: Handle counter and phone enquiries, raise quotes, process sales orders, and issue invoices through the internal point-of-sale system.

- Stock Control & Merchandising: Assist with stock replenishment, maintain product displays, and ensure the trade counter and showroom are clean, organised, and well-presented at all times.

- Product Knowledge & Technical Advice: Develop a strong understanding of Gyprock products, accessories, and systems to confidently assist customers with technical product information and solutions.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.

Skills & Experience

- Customer Service & Communication Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with trade customers, communicate clearly, and deliver professional service both in person and over the phone.

- Product & Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building materials (particularly plasterboard and related products) with the ability to provide accurate product advice and solutions.

- Sales & Computer Literacy: Competence in using point-of-sale systems, handling transactions, preparing quotes, and managing orders efficiently in a fast-paced trade environment.
